Insect Protein
During the last decade, the farm and garden world has been abuzz about the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) currently has a worldwide distribution in tropical and warm temperate regions. This small insect plays a large role in the decomposition of plants, animals, and feces by quickly composting waste and generating a high-protein feed for chickens and more. Here noted, This is scientifically proven that Black Soldier Fly (BSF) aren’t vectors of disease or filth and their larvae also suppress housefly larvae by 95-100% by outcompeting (Cornell University, USA) them in the poultry litter or cow dung or any others household waste but their larvae contain up to 50% Crude Protein (CP) and up to 35% lipids and have an amino acid profile that is similar to that of fishmeal. They are recognized and utilized as alternative sources of protein for the feed of poultry, several species of fish, and shrimp. We also started this farming with the Vietnamese breed of BSF in our Modhupur Waste Management Plant. This is under development stage for Big size Bio-Integrated Fly Farming, but we continue this as our R&D project.
